My name is Milou Mignon. I am a performing artist, writer and holistic voice coach, entranced by the ancient art of song, story and healing. I work partly from The Netherlands & Spain. A few years ago I started chasing my lifelong dream: to find a lighthouse to live and work in. This journey brought me to a lighthouse path in Galicia. There I am re-rooting and building Universo, an Eco-House for Arts & Voice. It is a rural oasis for relaxation, inspiration, creativity, healing, connection and empowerment. A place where personal growth, connection with nature and artistic development meet. Especially for other creative beings who also wish to balance their vibrant extravert life with their inner world.

Through 𝙀𝙣𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙑𝙤𝙞𝙘𝙚 1:1 Coaching I help people who wish to connect to the power of their authentic voice. This is both for performing artists who wish to sing or speak more aligned to their soul, as it is for people who are on the path of self development and want to explore the potential of their voice for emotional release, growing confidence & authenticity, self-healing and creative manifestation.

Next to 1:1 coaching I bring people together through Moonlab, an intuitive space for co-creation in nature. This is meant for artists of all disciplines (mothers, poets, clowns, hula hoop queens, garden gurus,..). Check here the calendar or keep up to date through my Instagram.

Background in performance arts

After diving into word art at the Royal Theatre School of Antwerp I studied vocals and songwriting at the Conservatory of Amsterdam where I graduated cum laude in 2020. During my studies I followed classes in dramaturgy and concept development at the Theatre School of Amsterdam and performance analysis at the University of Amsterdam.

My projects are weavings of word art, music and theatre in the form of immersive concerts, installations, educative workshops, podcasts, essays and concept albums. To me the arts are the most exciting possibility to contribute more connection, compassion, authentic expression and magic to society.

Within the realm of performance arts I am specialized in creating conceptual, interdisciplinary projects on location. I love taking my time to let myself be infused by the local people and their landscape. In this way I try to get to the heart of a city or village. The artistic proces becomes an exchange, a dialogue, a co-creation. The creation proces is an artwork or a story in itself and tells just as much (or even more) about me than the final result.

Between 2020-2022 I released 2 EP’s, 1 audiobook, 3 podcasts and developed 1 audiotour, 3 conceptual concert nights and 3 performances. We have unfolded the pieces on stages and radiostations from Shanghai to Kaapstad and from Melbourne to Amsterdam. I create work for- and in collaboration with festivals, municipalities, venues and organizations such as Paradiso Melkweg Productionhouse & Productionhouse Hollandse Luchten.
